WHAT IS MODAL FABRIC SCARVES AND SHAWLS?
Modal is astonishingly luxurious, lightweight and silky smooth fabric. It breathes, absorbs water, is shrink resistant and retains dyes well. Modal fabric is a semi-synthetic fabric made from beech tree pulp. The first cellulose fibre was developed in 1855 and is called rayon. The next development is designated viscose. Modal is the third production with micro-modal (lyocell) being the fourth. The first modal was created in Japan in 1951 and has been improved over time. Modal scarves are more expensive than cotton and viscose.
Modal scarves hold multiple qualities are as follow:
Eco-friendly. Modal is made from regenerative plants and there are fewer chemicals used in the production process.

Colours fast. The fabric absorbs dye in warm water and does not bleed dye during the laundering process.
