HOW TO WASH PASHMINA AT HOME?
A pashmina Shawls should be hand washed only as it is made from natural fibres.
Following are the steps to wash pashmina by hand:
- Prepare a liquid: Take lukewarm water and baby shampoo or a mild detergent in a tub or shower.
- Submerge: Submerge the pashmina in the cleaning liquid for 15 minutes and massage the shawl smoothly with hands while submerged.
- Dispose of the detergent water: Remove the detergent water, let the water naturally drain from the Pashmina and place it somewhere clean while you dispose of the detergent water & replace it with clean, lukewarm water.
- Watering out pashmina: Place the Pashmina Scarves back in clean lukewarm water and remove the detergent from the Pashmina, again massaging it gently with hands. Repeat the process until the water is clear without detergent.
- Drain: Once the water is running clear, lift it out and let the water naturally drain then fold it in half (lengthways) and ring the remaining water out gently. Shake it open (this will help prevent wrinkling) and spread it out on a flat surface or across a hanger to let it air dry at room temperature.
